VIRIDIAN JOURNAL
Welcome to the Journal.
A space for stories, inspirations, and discoveries—from behind-the-scenes glimpses of my design process to conversations with makers, favorite finds, and reflections on building a home from the ground up. Here, I share what I’m drawn to, what I’m working on, and what makes a space feel truly personal.

Design Notes: Verner Panton & Nanna Ditzel
Verner Panton and Nanna Ditzel weren’t afraid to bend the rules of “good taste.” From retro-futuristic shapes to bold colors and playful ideas, their work transformed everyday spaces into experiences. In this Design Notes entry, I share how I first discovered their designs and why they continue to inspire the way I think about space and creativity.
Where I Wander: The Acropolis, Athens
On a recent visit to the Acropolis in Athens, I was struck most by the Erechtheion. Its Caryatids and intricate detailing reveal how ancient design blended structure with symbolism, showing that architecture has always been a way of telling stories as much as building spaces.

Where I Wander: Bulgaria
From Sofia’s layered history to Plovdiv’s cobblestone streets and Veliko Tarnovo’s fortress-lined hills, my travels through Bulgaria revealed a country where architecture and craft are inseparable from memory. Each city unfolded in its own rhythm — Roman ruins beneath glass walkways, timber balconies breathing with centuries of touch, fortress doors worn smooth by countless hands. What connected them all was the way materials and details told stories of endurance and belonging, reminding me that design is as much about atmosphere and heritage as it is about form.

Building My First Home (and Living to Tell the Tale)
Two years ago, I embarked on the journey of building my own home from the ground up. What began as a bold idea during the chaos of the pandemic became a challenging yet deeply rewarding experience that reshaped how I approach design and storytelling in every project.

Design Notes: Gio Ponti & Murano Glass Decorative Lighting
As a designer, I’m constantly looking to the past for inspiration, and few things captivate me like the decorative light fixtures of Gio Ponti. His sculptural glass pieces are more than just functional objects; they’re luminous works of art that reflect a perfect balance of innovation, tradition, and elegance.
